Carmoza’s Chairman Eustace Mita
Eustace W. Mita is a fourth generation car man whose family, the Wolfingtons, built horse-drawn carriages and car bodies in the 1800s before diving into car franchising and dealerships in the early1900’s. Mita went from buying, fixing and selling ’65 Mustangs on weekends (at just 16 years old) to founding Mita Leasing in the 1980’s, one of the top 10 independent auto leasing companies in the country. He was also integral (along with Eustace Wolfington) in the innovation of short-term trading cycle technology which led to the success of Ford Motor Company’s Red Carpet lease.
Eustace was President and Chief Executive Officer of HAC Group (Half-a-Car™, AutoMark™ and CyberCar™), one of the world’s largest automotive dealer training and consulting companies; teaching and training thousands of dealers and dealership employees in nineteen countries worldwide. Eustace then led the acquisition of the HAC Group by Reynolds & Reynolds (REY:NYSE) in 2000. In addition, Eustace has advised dozens of dealerships and other automotive entities on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Reynolds & Reynolds (REY:NYSE) and Penske Auto Group (PAG:NYSE). Eustace is a founding member of the Lumen Institute (lumeninstitute.org), which provides guidance, training and education to organizations’ leaders nationwide.
Carmoza’s Director, Pat Croce
Pat Croce graced the cover of Success magazine as the first person to ascend from the training room to the boardroom of a professional sports team. His remarkable success as a physical therapist and pioneer in the sports medicine field to the colorful leader responsible for the resurrection of the Philadelphia 76ers as a NBA championship contender has been defined as one of the most amazing stories in sports history.
Through his business savvy, dynamic personality, and emphasis on customer service, Croce created Sports Physical Therapists, a sports medicine empire of 40 centers in 11 states, into a top-ten finalist for the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Following the sale of his company, Croce focused his entrepreneurial spirit and indestructible positive attitude on the purchase of the NBA’s last place team, the Philadelphia 76ers in 1996. During his 5-year tenure as President, the team rose from worse to first in the NBA standings and broke franchise records in attendance, revenue, merchandise, and consecutive wins on the way to the NBA Championships against the Los Angeles Lakers in 2001.
Carmoza’s CEO and President, Peter Fong
Peter Fong is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chrysler Brand for Chrysler Group LLC. In 2009, Mr. Fong was personally selected by CEO Sergio Marchionne as one of four brand CEOs to rebuild the Chrysler brand product portfolio and resurrect brand health for Chrysler. As President & CEO of the Chrysler Brand and Lead Executive for US Sales, he completely overhauled the Chrysler Brand portfolio in less than four months.
Prior to serving as President and CEO, Peter was recruited to stabilize operational efficiencies for Chrysler LLC’s Mid-Atlantic Business Center where he earned recognition as the “#1 Performing Business Center Director.” Peter revitalized a region comprised of 427 dealers in six states. He was selected to accompany Chrysler President and Vice Chairman on Capitol Hill for Congressional/Senate Leader meetings and prepare him for testifying before the U.S. Senate Committee regarding dealership closings.
Prior to joining Chrysler, Peter spent 14 years at the Ford Motor Company. His diverse career at Ford expanded across marketing, sales, brand management and service leadership positions supporting the Ford, Jaguar, and Lincoln Mercury brands. He was a graduate of Ford Motor Company’s elite Marketing Leadership Program and received the “1999 Automotive Hall of Fame Young Leadership & Excellence Award.”
